While most children spend the lead up to Christmas writing their wish lists, one local teenager spends hers thinking about someone else’s.
Since she was ten years old, Charlotte Oram has been designing and making Christmas cards to raise money for the Rotherham Toy Appeal.

What started in 2021 with raising £20 to buy one gift has grown into a five-year tradition that has brought over £2,000 of festive cheer to children and young people in Rotherham.
Last year was her most successful yet, with an incredible £926.40 raised to buy Christmas presents.
Now in Year 11 and preparing for her GCSEs, Charlotte is celebrating five years of her Christmas fundraising by bringing back a selection of her favourite Christmas card designs – and she’s set herself a target of raising £1,000.
From the Ninjabread Man to the Fa La Llama to the Mistletoad and her popular Grinch range, all designs are drawn by Charlotte and kindly printed by John Brailsford Printers at Parkgate.
A pack of three Christmas cards is £2, and Charlotte is also selling festive gift tags and money wallets.

Charlotte’s cards will be stocked at Salon 31 on Wellgate, Something Brew Inn at Rawmarsh and Swirl coffee shop at Greasbrough. Or you can order directly through her Facebook page.
She will also be standing at Elsecar Christmas Makers Market on Sunday 15th November and Hellaby Hall Christmas Fair on Sunday 29th November.
All money raised through Charlotte’s Cards is used to buy toys and gifts for the Rotherham Toy Appeal.
