Christmas is about to get wonderfully mad at Wentworth Woodhouse

Forget Santa and his sleigh. This Christmas, there’s a rather more curious adventure waiting at Wentworth Woodhouse – and you’ll need to follow the White Rabbit to find it.

The magnificent State Rooms will be transformed into Alice in Wentworth Wonderland, taking visitors on a festive journey through the Room of Doors, Hall of Hearts, Drink Me, Eat Me and Down the Rabbit Hall, before tumbling into a bonkers Mad Hatter’s Tea Party.

The award-winning team at Culture Creative have once again partnered with Wentworth Woodhouse to create a Christmas experience that promises to be wonderfully, gloriously mad.

Expect games, dressing up, photo opportunities and plenty of surprises along the way that will leave you grinning like a Cheshire cat. On selected dates, live actors will add even more interactive Wonderland magic – so keep your eyes peeled for who (or what) you might meet.

And if the Mad Hatter’s tea party leaves you hungry for more, there’s plenty to tempt you. Indulge in a themed afternoon tea, get crafty with Alice-inspired activities and storytelling, make a Christmas wreath, or settle in for a special reading of A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens’ great-great-grandson, Gerald.

Best of all, this is a Christmas experience with a purpose, with all money raised from visitors helping fund the next chapter of Wentworth Woodhouse’s story.
